Ted and Martine deLoach started Multi Drill Targets in Charleston, SC because they were tired of shooting inferior targets. Cheap B-27 style targets got destroyed by weather at Palmetto Gun Club—thin paper couldn't handle wind or rain, and they'd only survive a handful of rounds. That frustration became their first product: the X-3 Pistol Target.
Every target is printed on coated stock designed for real-world range conditions. Their heavier paper holds up to hundreds of rounds outdoors. Indoor ranges get slightly thinner material that still punches clean holes and stays intact. All paper includes 20% post-consumer waste and is fully recyclable.
The X-3 Pistol Target comes in black (outdoor) and pink (indoor) versions. It features an IDPA-scaled silhouette with "bowling pin" inset, cranial ocular targeting areas, six numbered shapes, and two upper bullseye plates. One target handles speed drills, accuracy work, and responsive shooting—no need to rotate through multiple sheets.
| Target Type | Best For | Format |
|---|---|---|
| X-3 Pistol | Training drills, accuracy work | Indoor/Outdoor, 10-20 count |
| Complete Combatant | Tactical & precision shooting | Full-color, 25 packs |
| Shape Color Number | Instructor stress inoculation | Responsive drills, 10 count |
| Rifle Sight-In | Zero confirmation, long-range work | Heavy outdoor stock, 10 count |
| See My Shot Splatter | Quick feedback without walking downrange | 50 count adhesive |
| Defenders USA Signature | Competition prep | Full-color & B&W, 25 count |

"I use Multi Drill Targets with the Advanced CWP classes at the Palmetto Gun Club. The X-3 Pistol target is a great training aid as it allows accuracy shooting drills to the specific small target areas as well as combat shooting drills to larger areas on the silhouette all on one target. The heavier paper provides a tough durable target so that we usually only need one target per student throughout the entire course." — Tom Clark, Lead Pistol Instructor, Palmetto Gun Club
Training professionals consistently note that the targets survive extended use better than alternatives. One instructor reported averaging 150 rounds per target with their PTI design. Another mentioned the SCN target helping instructors add stress inoculation—calling out shapes, numbers, and colors adds cognitive load that separates confident shooters from trained ones.
Customer service gets repeated praise. Multi Drill follows up with repeat customers to confirm delivery, responds to emails fast, and honors issues from first shipments with immediate replacements.
