Why hunters book multiple years in advance: Clients report seeing "literally hundreds of pheasants each day" and consistently limit out. One Wyoming hunter has booked the same trip 4 years running and hasn't gone home empty.
Josh and Dustin Byrum run the hunts personally. Clients note they have "great knowledge of the area" and "know where to go all day long." They provide trained hunting dogs, but you can bring your own—just let them know ahead of time.
Clients come from across the country: - Texas - Wyoming - Minnesota - Colorado - Kansas
The operation handles both first-time hunters (who leave wanting to bring 10 friends next year) and experienced hunters with their own dogs.
"Top-notch outfit. From the guides all the way down to the dogs, you won't find a better experience in the state of South Dakota. Dustin and Josh have great knowledge of the area, they always put you on the birds. I have booked this trip 4 years in a row, I have never left South Dakota without my limit of birds and wonderful memories. You don't only walk away with birds, you walk away with 2 new friends." — Jason G., Wyoming
"I hunted with them for the first time in 2016. I have hunted South Dakota many times before so I knew the hunting could be good. I just didn't know it could be this good. My group saw literally hundreds of pheasants each day. Josh and Dustin also took extra time to hunt some fields that were best for my young pointing dog and gave me valuable insight and training advice. Accommodations are first class and the food is excellent." — Dave S., Minnesota
"Just wanted to say that I was a first-time pheasant hunter last year. Upon arriving, we were greeted by the staff and made to feel welcome immediately. I was given great instruction and phenomenal hunting. The whole experience has led me to book a trip this year with ten of my friends." — Jack P., Wyoming
