Located 10 miles from the Missouri River near Wagner, SD, Cimpl Made Hunts operates in the heart of one of America's most reliable pheasant regions. The area sits 5 miles east and 13 miles south of Wagner, roughly 50 miles west of Yankton, and holds populations of pheasants, grouse, prairie chicken, coyotes, deer, turkeys, ducks, geese, partridge, and quail.

The state holds more than 8.5 million pheasants and consistently tops national bird counts. The pheasant season typically opens the third Saturday in October with a daily limit of 3 roosters and a possession limit of 15 birds. Shooting hours are noon (Central Time) for the first 7 days, then 10 a.m. to sunset for the remainder of the season.
