Full description and what we offer
Last Call Outfitters specializes in one thing: getting snow geese to commit. They run guided hunts during South Dakota's Light Goose Conservation Season (March 10–April 8) with two distinct operations and hunt styles.
Their James River location uses a 32'×12' heated pit blind overlooking a 900+ full body decoy spread with a 10-speaker electronic call system. Hunts typically run daylight to 11 a.m., break for lunch and a nap, then resume 3–5 p.m. until dark.
Their northeast South Dakota operation uses Nomad layout blinds over a migrator spread with electronic calls. You'll be transported to and from the field by four-wheeler or sled.
Spring snow goose hunting is weather and solunar dependent—nothing like Canada goose season. These birds have their own habits, and conditions can swing from wide open to completely shut down. Most groups book three consecutive days. Bring waterproof bibs, light-colored camo, warm boots, and 3 boxes of 3" BB-3 shot (or your preference) per day.
"Putting snows feet down is hard to do and they manage to do it every year for us!" —Matt F.
Plugs are not required during the conservation season, and magazine extensions are encouraged.
