Full description and what we offer
Good Ol Days Pheasant Hunting operates guided hunts in Arlington, South Dakota, specializing in ring-necked pheasants—the state bird—plus waterfowl, upland game, and fishing. Gordon and Kathy Fenske have built their operation on knowing the land and the birds.
They hunt a mix of CRP grasslands and food plots, not just traditional row crop fields. The grass hunts work especially well for pointers and good hunting dogs. Food plots give you the classic row-crop experience if that's your preference.
Waterfowl hunting is a strong bonus. The area has numerous potholes and sloughs holding mallards, wood ducks, gadwall, teal, redheads, pintails, canvasbacks, and bluebills. They also hunt Giant Canada Geese—birds pushing 18 pounds with 5-foot wingspans.
Upland game includes partridge, plus opportunities for doves and wild turkey. Fishing options cover walleye, saugeye, bass, perch, and northern pike.
