Johannsen Farms Outfitting

Johannsen Farms Outfitting operates on over 5,000 acres of prairie pothole habitat in central South Dakota, homesteaded in 1926 and now in its fifth generation as a family farm and ranch. A no-till farming and grazing plan combines native and CRP grasslands, cornfields, wheat fields, cattail sloughs, wooded shelterbelts, and food plots to support wild ring-necked pheasant and whitetail deer populations on the property.

Guided wild pheasant hunts on the farm include a daily round of clays at the property's trap shooting area, alongside professionally trained flushing and pointing labs, transportation to and from the field, and bird cleaning and packaging. Hunting parties run from three to ten hunters, each guided by a professional pheasant hunting guide.
