Mitchell Gun Club operates as a public shooting facility hosting trap and clay shooting events throughout the year. Their signature events draw both competitive shooters and casual participants looking to get trigger time on clay targets.

The club organizes team-based competitions where shooters engage in formal trap shooting. Teams consist of 5 shooters, though individuals can register and be placed randomly on teams. Each shooter completes 2 rounds of 25 clays per event.
