Full description and what we offer
Caryonah Hunting Lodge operates on 2,000 acres of secluded rolling hills in the Cumberland Mountains near Crossville, Tennessee. Founded as the Southeast's oldest and largest hunting lodge, they've refined the formula: serious hunting paired with actual comfort.
The lodge specializes in multiple game species:
Russian Wild Boar - The signature hunt. You're facing a hybrid of Russian wild boar and southern "razorback"—ornery and equipped with razor-sharp tusks. Trophy boar hunts run $1,495 (2 days/nights with lodging) or $1,150 for day hunts only.
Ram Hunting - Caryonah offers Corsican rams, Babiroussa rams, Black Hawaiian rams, and Texas Dall sheep. Each has distinct characteristics (horn curls, coloring, size). All ram packages run $1,550 (2 days/nights) or $1,200 (day hunt only).
Large Game - Red stag, buffalo, elk, Angora goats, and deer species (fallow, sika, axis). Axis deer are notable for shedding antlers on their birthday annually.

"I couldn't be more pleased with Caryonah Hunting Lodge. What an exciting and memorable Russian boar hunt... Everyone, including hosts, guides, cooks, meat/cape processor, dog handlers, and the dogs, delivered 100 percent." — Archie Blair, Head Archery Coach, Southeastern Illinois College
Unlike "roughing it," Caryonah offers luxury accommodations: - Private rooms with ensuite bathrooms - Comfortable beds with fresh linens - Family-style home cooking - Warm fireplace in main dining area for socializing - Game room and common areas
The lodge also hosts non-hunting guests and can accommodate corporate rentals, family reunions, weddings, and events on the property.
Field-dressed game is hauled to the walk-in cooler by your guide. Meat processing and taxidermy services are available at additional cost. The lodge works with professional taxidermists to ensure quality mounts—customers consistently note that guide Doug "won't stop until you're satisfied."
Accepts cash, company checks, travelers checks, money orders, and credit cards (4% fee). Personal checks only for deposits. Prices include 9.75% Tennessee sales tax.
Caryonah has hosted solo hunters, couples, families, grandparents with grandchildren, and TV personalities—all with successful outcomes. Multiple customers mention returning year after year.
