Full description and what we offer
Peace River Waterfowl operates guided waterfowl hunts across two premium locations: Peace River, Alberta and Wynne, Arkansas. The operation focuses on one thing—putting clients on birds during peak migration periods when thousands of ducks and geese stage in the region.
Alberta's Peace Country hosts some of North America's densest waterfowl concentrations. Last season, Peace River clients averaged 111 birds per day during the September-October migration. The operation hunts:
Daily bag limits are 8 ducks and 8 geese. The region's parkland habitat—surrounded by poplar and mixed conifer forests with the Peace River running through it—creates ideal staging areas that birds rarely avoid.

Gear & Shotgun Setup
Guides recommend 3-inch shells with #2 shot for most hunting. This provides more pellets, solid patterns, fewer jams, and easier shoulder management. 3-inch BB shot works well for late-season geese. Skip 3½-inch shells—they jam and pattern inconsistently.
Bring light-colored camo outerwear (dark colors stand out), waterproof Gore-Tex bibs and jacket, Primaloft or down layers, moisture-wicking base layers, warm rubber boots (Muck or LaCrosse), gloves, and a shooting glasses.
Shell and license purchases are handled locally upon arrival.
