Own Big Iron CHL?
01 // DETAILS
Full description and what we offer
Big Iron CHL has been running concealed handgun license classes across Texas since the mid-2000s, built around a philosophy that's different from most ranges: most of the class covers how to NOT use your gun.
Their standard 8-hour LTC class (also called CHL—Concealed Handgun License) covers Texas law, safety, drawing from concealment, shooting fundamentals, and range qualification. But what sets them apart is the focus on de-escalation tactics, situational awareness, and defensive techniques that don't involve a firearm at all. Students consistently mention this in testimonials—the non-lethal tactics stuck with them more than anything.
