Burton's Hunting Service

Burton's Hunting Service operates out of Fort Stockton and has been booking hunts for over three decades. Owners Ken and Samantha Burton built this around a simple principle: work with guides who actually care about the outcome.

Most guides have been with Burton's for years. Ken Burton himself still guides and is known for his competitive edge. Mark Parrish joined in 2007 after guiding with Ken since 1990. Tim Bienski emphasizes courteous, detail-oriented hunts. Jim Wentrcek handles land/ranch real estate and wildlife management across Texas. Beau Olle brings 8+ years of South Texas hunting experience. Mark Trimble went from being a client to guide. Brian Dromgoole's been hunting for nearly 40 years. Carter Everett, raised in Greenwood, focuses on creating memorable outdoor adventures.

All hunts are booked in advance. Most require a 50% non-refundable deposit. Hunts are non-refundable unless the hunter can be replaced at full price—if you cancel, you're responsible for finding your own replacement.

Guides make most of their income from tips. The customary range is 10-20% of total hunt cost, though the specific amount depends on performance. Ken Burton recommends contacting him directly at (325) 347-2815 for detailed questions.
