Full description and what we offer
Cedar Hill Hunt Club has been operating since 2003 on a family-owned West Texas ranch—a 33,000-acre property specifically managed for trophy whitetail deer hunting. The club was formally incorporated as a Florida non-profit in 2019 to manage member hunts and maintain herd quality.
Each season membership includes the right to hunt one trophy whitetail buck. Members hunt their own way—elevated stands over feeders or still-hunting across low-fence property. All hunts are fair-chase.
The club also offers: - Doe and management hunts during season opening - Trophy hunts scheduled over 3 weeks during pre-rut, peak rut, and post-rut (November-early December) - Spring turkey hunting memberships (limited, started 2022) - Additional game: fall turkey, javelina, bobcats, mountain lions, coyotes, and other predators per Texas Parks and Wildlife regulations
The ranch enrolled in Texas Parks and Wildlife's Managed Lands Deer Program (MLDP) in 2007. This means harvests are based on wildlife biologist assessments, not guessing.
Over the past 6 years: 1,000+ does and 170+ management bucks harvested by members, maintaining a 1:1 buck-to-doe ratio confirmed by annual helicopter surveys.
Trophy buck age matters. Club guidelines require members to pass on bucks under 4.5 years old. Last 5 years of harvests averaged over 6 years old, with one buck aged at 11.5 years—that's what herd management actually delivers.
Hunting Infrastructure: - 41 hunting blinds with automatic spin feeders (most hold 2 hunters) - Over 100 miles of accessible roads—60+ graded caliche roads - Most blinds reachable within 30 minutes of lodging - Covered deer cleaning area with walk-in cooler (25-deer capacity) - 100-yard gun range
Membership is limited and by invitation only. Contact Doug Pitts, Club President, for details.
