Concho Exotic Outfitters operates a high-fenced hunting ranch in Concho County, Texas, near the Edwards Plateau and Concho Marina. Unlike whitetail hunting in Texas, there are no seasonal restrictions on exotic game, so you can hunt whenever your schedule allows.
Axis Deer – Native to India, axis deer are known for striking appearance and impressive antlers. They're herd animals with keen senses, making them a challenging stalk. No exact breeding season means you can find bucks in hard antler year-round, though summer months typically have more. Axis venison is highly regarded as premium game meat.
Aoudad Sheep (Barbary Sheep) – Introduced to Texas in the 1950s, aoudads have thrived in the rugged terrain. Older rams grow horns over 30 inches long and sport an impressive mane down their neck and legs. They're elusive with sharp eyesight and challenging behavior.
Blackbuck Antelope – Native to Pakistan and India with distinctive spiraled horns. Known for agility and keen eyesight, they provide an exciting pursuit through Texas terrain.
Fallow Deer – Native to Europe, fallow deer come in several color varieties: chocolate, white, or spotted coats. They have distinctive palmated antlers and are known for their reclusive nature.
Exotic Rams – European Mouflon with impressive curved horns, Black Hawaiian sheep with striking all-black coats, and Texas Dall sheep with majestic white coats and impressive horns.
Allan "Huff" Huffman has managed Concho Exotics as ranch manager and lead guide for 6 years. He grew up around cattle in Stephenville and has spent decades in the field—10 solid years running the duck guide operation at Rough Creek Lodge where he earned Guide of the Year honors multiple times, plus decades of whitetail deer guiding experience.
While Huff excels with seasoned hunters, he genuinely enjoys teaching newcomers and kids experiencing their first hunt. He's committed to leaving the land better than he found it and passing that respect for wildlife to the next generation.
Lodging – Three fully-furnished sleeping cabins at The 507 Ranch accommodate up to 14 hunters. Each cabin has climate control, private bathrooms, and satellite TV. You get a full kitchen, cozy living areas, and a fire pit for evening stories.
