Full description and what we offer
Hibler Taxidermy started when Joe T. Hibler picked up the craft after a hunting accident in the late 1950s. What began as a part-time hobby while he worked oil fields became a full-time operation in 1963. Over six decades, the business has earned a reputation across Texas and beyond for serious taxidermy work.
Joe established one of the largest, most trusted taxidermy businesses in the United States. He built his business on quality of work and integrity.
The studio handles the full range of trophy game:
David Hibler, son of founder Joe, serves as head taxidermist. He's been in the business since age 15 and brings decades of expertise in everything from African exotics to detailed whitetail work. His son Joseph now handles operations and sculpting, while younger brother Allen is pursuing taxidermy after finishing his degree.
The family also runs Hibler Wild Game Processing, a separate operation producing smoked meats, jerky, snack sticks, sausage, summer sausage, and tamales. This business has grown substantially and operates alongside the taxidermy studio.
