Texas Wild hunts ranches across 8 counties in the South Texas Brush, all south of San Antonio—where the feral hog density is highest in the nation. Curtis and Brenda Hrabe run the operation with 2 full-time employees and 8 part-time guides and cooks.

Their best-selling hunt. Five ranches set up with blinds and feeders, each with cabins or lodges. Most rifle blinds sit 50 yards from feeders; bow blinds 30 yards. Handicap-accessible blinds available.

Pricing: - Basic Hunt (2 days, 2 nights, 4 hunting sessions): $450/hunter for 3+ hunters, $500 each for 2 hunters, $700 for solo hunters - Add-on days: $150/hunter/day - Unlimited hogs per hunter - All hunting from elevated blinds—no stalking allowed

Curtis recommends thermal or night vision scopes since most hog activity moves to after-dark during South Texas heat. Help with downed animals and field dressing available on request ($45 basis).

Fully guided 4-hour night hunts with seasoned hog dogs, dog handlers, hunting vehicle with dog box, and two-way radios. Texas Wild furnishes the dogs and equipment; you bring a flashlight, sharp knife, and sidearm. $300/hunter (3-hunter minimum, 2 hogs per hunter limit). 3-6 hunters optimal for this style.

Scouts and guides check fields daily and move hunters to the birds. Available in Atascosa, Bexar, Frio, Medina, and McMullen counties. $100 per hunter per day or part-day. Deposit required for weekend openings or groups of 10+.
