Full description and what we offer
Kokernot 06 Ranch operates a hunting program for serious hunters pursuing trophy animals over rugged, mostly unfenced country. Their hunting grounds cover open pastures, rolling plains, rugged mountains, and deep canyons near Alpine, Texas—roughly halfway between Alpine and Fort Davis on State Route 118.
Typical hunts last 2-5 days. You arrive the evening before your first hunt day and depart the afternoon or evening on your last day (some hunters stay an extra night). Professional guides are provided for all hunts, with each guide handling 2-4 hunters.
The hunting camp sits just west of State Route 118 and includes three bunk houses (one with dining/club room), a cooking shed, and accommodations for up to 28 hunters and 7 guides.
Meals are prepared chuck wagon style by the ranch cook and included in hunt fees (minimum 4 hunters and guests required for meal service). Hunters can also prepare their own meals or access restaurants in Alpine or Fort Davis. Alcoholic beverages are not provided.
Daily transportation during hunts is provided via pickup truck or all-terrain vehicles.
Hunters supply their own firearms, ammunition, hunting supplies, sleeping bags, and appropriate outdoor clothing. You'll need a current Texas hunting license (resident or non-resident—Texas offers reduced-cost non-resident licenses for some species).
Nearest commercial airports: Midland International (MAF, ~190 miles northeast) or El Paso International (ELP, ~210 miles west). Both have car rental. Alpine-Casparis Municipal Airport (E38) is just north of Alpine for general aviation. The ranch provides transportation to/from Alpine-Casparis Airport only.
You'll need to complete a signed release, provide proper ID, and show proof of medical insurance prior to arriving.
