Texas Hunting and Fishing Adventures operates guided trips for three distinct pursuits: trophy whitetail deer hunting, inshore and nearshore bay fishing, and dove hunting. Captain Gordon McMurray leads all trips personally, with decades of experience in South Texas hunting and fishing.

The operation focuses on trophy buck hunting on private ranches producing consistent Boone & Crockett caliber deer. Hunts are guided one-on-one—you won't be left sitting alone. Most hunting is done from stands along senderos (cleared shooting lanes) or from brush blinds using rattling antlers to locate bucks.

Expect to see 10-25 bucks per day. Guides scout and pattern deer year-round, and the operation manages genetics strictly to maximize antler growth. All deer receive supplemental feed and food plots year-round, and the MLD (Maximum Level Density) program ensures proper harvesting to let bucks reach full potential.

Hunt Packages: - Bucks under 130 B&C: 2 days/1 night, lodging & meals included — $2,200 flat fee - 130-139 7/8 B&C: 2 days/1 night — $2,000 base + $1,000 trophy fee - 140-149 7/8 B&C: 2.5 days/2 nights — $2,000 base + $2,000 trophy fee - 150+ B&C: Pricing scales with trophy fees up to $9,500 for 210+ B&C bucks

Captain Gordo fishes the Texas Coastal Bend from Rockport to the Land Cut, operating out of Corpus Christi. The territory spans seven major bay systems including San Antonio Bay, Baffin Bay, and Laguna Madre.

Target Species: - Speckled trout (trophy fish December-April, largest in Baffin Bay during winter) - Redfish (year-round) - Black drum (20-60 pounds October-March) - Flounder (September-November fall run)

Boat & Equipment: - 24' Haynie High Output center console (stable, dry ride) - 225 HP Mercury Pro XS engine (fast runs to distant spots) - Minn Kota quiet trolling motor (precision positioning) - Oxygenated live-well system (quality bait maintenance) - Quality rods, reels, tackle provided

Bay Fishing Rates: - Full day (1 person): $550 - Each additional person (up to 4): $50 per person - Deposit: $200 (refundable/reschedulable if weather cancels) - Non-weather cancellations: 7-day notice required or full deposit charged

Includes fish cleaning and fillet service. Kids welcome (bring own life jackets).

Seasonal dove hunts available in south and central Texas zones near Alvin, Rockport, and Brackettville. The operation manages prime bird ranches with established dove populations ensuring consistent wing-shooting opportunities.
