Full description and what we offer
TX Duck Hunts operates out of Rockport in the Aransas Pass and Port Aransas area of the Texas gulf coast. Captain John and his crew have been running hunts for over 20 years, specializing in waterfowl and wild hog hunting across multiple locations within 45 minutes of Corpus Christi.
Duck Season Hunts
The area is home to the majority of wintering redheads in this flyway. You'll see pintails, widgeons, bluebills, buffleheads, green and blue wing teal, gadwalls, and shovelers—most arriving in full plumage. Trophy birds and once-in-a-lifetime shots are not uncommon.
Morning hunts start about an hour before legal shooting time. Afternoon hunts begin at 2pm. Trips last until 10:30am or close of shooting, depending on the session. You meet at their private boat launch near Aransas Pass with private parking.
Hog Hunting
Access to a private hunting ranch about 45 minutes from Corpus Christi. Season runs September 1 through April, with limited summer availability. Fair chase hunts over feeders with green light capability. Blinds positioned 50 yards from feeders. The brush is thick and terrain challenging—good rifle skills and appropriate ammunition matter. No limit on hogs per hunt.
Quack and Squeal Combination Hunts
Fully guided morning duck hunt in Aransas Pass, break for lunch, then evening hog hunt at the ranch. Available during Texas duck season. Can also reverse the order. No limit on hogs, no wanton waste.
Cast and Blast Fishing
Airboat or wade fishing for redfish, trout, drum, and flounder. Can be added to duck hunts or booked separately. Around 5 hours. All gear, tackle, and bait provided. Free fish cleaning and bagging included.

All bookings require a $100/person deposit. Cancellations more than 7 days out can be rescheduled. Cancellations within 7 days forfeit the full hunt cost. No-shows charged in full.
Well-mannered dogs are welcome on duck hunts with advance notice for dog stands.
Texas weather is unpredictable—windy, wet, sometimes violent. Reasonable wind and rain don't cancel hunts. If conditions become unsafe (exceptionally high winds, torrential rain, dense fog), the captain will consult with you in advance. Weather cancellations allow rescheduling or refunds. For hog hunts, if heavy rain or high winds make conditions difficult, deposits are refunded or rescheduled.
TX Duck Hunts accommodates large groups across multiple blinds with multiple airboats and guides. Typically limits pig hunts to 4 hunters at a time for quality experience, but can arrange additional guides in the area for larger groups. Call Captain John at 218-390-4522 to discuss your group needs.
