Team Shooting Stars is a USA Shooting-sanctioned club and 501(c)(3) non-profit based in the Dallas area, focused on developing competitive shooters in Olympic-style pistol and rifle disciplines. The club was founded by Brooks Brinson and operates as a family-oriented community dedicated to advancing athletes from youth through adulthood in ISSF (International Shooting Sport Federation) competitive shooting.
The club is led by Dave Schaller, a USA Shooting Level 3 Rifle Coach with extensive competitive credentials. Schaller earned All-American honors in both Pistol and Air Pistol at MIT, competed at the national level in International Rapid Fire Pistol through the 2004 Olympic tryouts, and holds an Expert classification in NRA Service Rifle. He's assisted by additional coaches and experienced club members.

The club trains air pistol and air rifle at their primary facility. Smallbore rifle and pistol training is conducted at other private and public ranges. Club members have access to a library of pistols and rifles on a first-come, first-served basis.
Team Shooting Stars hosts USA Shooting-sanctioned matches and has been selected multiple times to host the Texas State Junior Olympic Pistol Championships. The club organizes monthly PTO (Practice Training Opportunities) matches and tracks match results throughout the year.
Recent achievements: Mehr Chanda won gold in J3 Air Pistol at the Junior Olympics and earned selection to the US National Junior Team. Austin Stone became Overall Champion of the 2025 Texas State Junior Olympic Sport Pistol Championships.
The club maintains 15-25 active members ranging from age 8 to adults. Leadership includes a board of parents, adult shooters, and a junior shooter delegate.
The club welcomes shooters of all levels interested in Olympic-style competitive shooting. Athletes typically compete at regional, national, and international matches. The club recognizes that membership could be a first step on the road to Olympic competition.
