Augusta Airsoft

Augusta Airsoft grew out of a family visit to Ballahack in Chesapeake. What began as inspiration turned into real infrastructure—over a year of securing land, getting county permits, building a business license, and constructing a full operational field.

The field sits at: 152 Johnson Avenue, Stuarts Draft, VA 24477 (Turn left off Johnson Drive onto the Rexnord Plant Entrance, 150 yards on the right)

They play rain, snow, sleet, hail, or shine. Average turnout runs 35 players in freezing rain, 50+ on good weather days.

The field includes: - Four separate town scenarios: Squirrel, Badgerville, Beavertown, Dogtown - Hare University training area - 3/10s Tabernacle structure - 2,500+ linear feet of trenches for cover and movement - Full parking lot and staging area

They can outfit 45 players if you email ahead at [email protected] or text (540) 470-8713. Otherwise it's first-come, first-served.

Safety Requirements: - ANSI Z87.1 goggles/glasses with full seal around eyes (non-sealed not allowed) - 1.5 Joules / 400 FPS max (.20g BBs) - Bolt action rifles: 550 FPS max with 100-yard minimum engagement distance - Semi-auto only for rifles and pistols (no full-auto except LMGs with 40ft minimum) - Biodegradable BBs preferred - Eye pro on at all times on field

Engagement Rules: - No blind firing (can't shoot targets you can't see) - Call hits loudly: "Hit, hit, hit" + "good shot, good job" - Use red dead rag immediately when hit - Gun hits and ricochets don't count - Center mass aiming only - No safety kills

Dead Player Rules: - Stay completely still and silent when eliminated - Dead players can't talk to teammates or give intel - Dead players can't use comms - Display dead rag on top of head - Wait for medic in same spot (±3 feet) or respawn

Zero Tolerance: - Drugs, alcohol, profanity: Permanent ban, no exceptions - Violations during play: Removed for remainder of game - Fighting or arguing: Escorted off permanently

This is deliberately a friends-and-family field. The founders believe airsoft builds communication, teamwork, and integrity. They've met players from across Virginia—Bay area, Baltimore, Lynchburg, WVA—plus military (Air Force, EMT), college (VMI), and local club teams.

Their philosophy is simple: You need to come to have fun, bring a positive attitude, and remember it's just a game. The only actual requirements are calling your hits and respecting the rules.
