Blandfield sits on a restored colonial plantation in Essex County, Virginia, acquired and revitalized by the Wheat family in 1983. The property spans 4,000 acres including 600 acres of pristine tidal marsh, 700 acres of open farmland, and extensive timberland—each habitat carefully managed to attract premium game.
Their upland program runs late October through mid-March and features fast-flying, naturalized quail in habitat typical of southern Georgia hunting. Guests can expect 12-15 covey rises per hunt across three distinct hunting areas with varied terrain. Half-day and overnight packages accommodate up to six guns.

Their 600-acre freshwater tidal marsh, impoundments, and creek system create prime waterfowl habitat. Three hunting seasons run mid-October (5-day early), late November through December, and mid-December through January. Typically two hunts per overnight package with 2-3 hunting parties per guide.
