Full description and what we offer
Captain Pete Wallace started as a charter boat operator 40 years ago. That experience evolved into Chincoteague Hunting & Fishing, Inc., now rated among North America's top 100 greatest waterfowl outfitting services.
Virginia's Eastern Shore hosts one of the continent's largest and most diverse waterfowl populations. You can hunt divers, puddle ducks, sea ducks, Brant, Canada geese, and Snow geese—often all in the same day with over a 20-bird limit.
The operation runs approximately 100 blinds across 30 miles from the Maryland-Virginia state line south, plus additional blinds in the Saxis Wildlife Management area on the Chesapeake Bay. Setup includes:
Meet your guide at 5 a.m. at Comfort Suites for weather and tide briefing. Transportation to blinds is provided. Your guide stays nearby throughout the day to set decoys, retrieve birds, and relocate you based on conditions and bird activity. Hunts often move multiple times depending on what's flying.
Required gear: Insulated waders, camo clothing, gloves, 3" shotgun with non-toxic shells, valid hunting license.
