Outdoorsman Taxidermy and Wild Game Processing has been operating in Powhatan for nearly two decades. They handle two core services: butchering wild game and mounting taxidermy pieces.
- •Wild game processing – deer, venison, and other harvested game
- •Taxidermy mounts – shoulder mounts, life-size pieces, and custom work
- •Custom processing – beef and pork during off-season (by appointment)
They're specific about how game arrives because it affects results. Keep everything below 36°F. For deer being mounted, don't cut the brisket. Shoulder mounts need the top 6 inches of neck intact. Life-size mounts should stay frozen and head straight to the shop.
Hours: Monday–Saturday, 9am–6pm. Closed Sundays. Off-season custom processing by appointment.
