Rasawek Hunting Preserve

Rasawek operates five distinct quail hunting locations across western Goochland County, each offering natural habitat that blends managed pine plantation, hardwood draws, forest meadows, woodland streams, and maintained trails. The preserve focuses on authentic upland hunting with properly managed food and cover for birds.

Hunt parties up to 4 hunters: $850

• •Professional guides and handlers
• •Trained hunting dogs (or bring your own)
• •All bird cleaning, packaging, and tagging
• •Complimentary lunch
• •No bag limits

A 50% deposit reserves your spot; recommend booking at least 48 hours ahead.

• •Virginia hunting license (purchase online)
• •Blaze orange (required by VA DWR)
• •Shotgun (breaking guns preferred) and 2-3 boxes of #7 or #8 shot
• •Brush pants or chaps (recommended)

• •Age requirement: All hunters must be at least 16 years old; minors need parent/guardian accompaniment.

• •Gratuity: Guides typically receive 20% tip (not included in hunt price).

• •Cancellations: Deposits are non-refundable. With 24+ hours notice, you forfeit the deposit but can reschedule. Without notice, you pay the full hunt amount. Weather cancellations can be rescheduled through the following season.

• •Payment: Cash, check, or major credit cards accepted.

• •Location: 2861 Hadensville-Fife Road, Goochland, VA 23063 (roughly 15-20 minutes from Richmond). Closed Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year's Day.
