Ranging from competitive shooters to first-timers, Roanoke Range & Training serves the Shenandoah Valley as its sole indoor shooting facility. Located at 2203 Shenandoah Valley Ave NE in Roanoke, the range operates seven days a week under the management of Ron & Judy Flint (CEO) with Sherry Chocklett as Range Manager.
- •Concealed Weapons Classes run on a regular schedule:
- •Every 2nd Wednesday at 5:00 PM
- •Every 4th Saturday at 9:00 AM
- •$65 if paid in advance, $75 day-of
Instructors on staff include Cheryl Blackwell and Mark Holder, available for both group classes and one-on-one instruction.
Unsure about a firearm? Rent one of their range guns for $10 and put rounds downrange. Ammunition costs $6.99–$28.99 depending on caliber.
The range hosts PPC (Practical Pistol Course) matches every other Tuesday. Contact the range for details on upcoming events and entry requirements.

If using GPS, include "Valley Ave." in the address to avoid routing errors.
From I-220 South heading north: Take the Orange Ave Exit (4E) near the Roanoke Civic Center. Follow Orange Ave/US-460 to the light at Plantation Rd, turn left, and go about a quarter mile. The range is on the right—look for it behind the siding supply buildings.
