Tony Saldivar brings three decades of professional hunting and fishing experience to Fir Island. After hunting waterfowl across California—from the Salton Sea down south to the rice fields up north—he relocated to Washington nine years ago and now guides on some of Skagit Valley's best private and leased land.

"If you're interested in some of the best hunting on Fir Island for ducks and geese in dry fields I have a limited number of days each month from Oct. thru Feb."

All hunts operate from blinds in dry fields, starting at shooting light and running until 2-3 PM (or when limits are reached). Soda and water provided. You bring lunch, snacks, and ammunition (2-3 boxes per person).

Every hunter needs a valid Washington hunting license and stamps. Snow goose hunters must carry a Snow Goose card. Alcohol is not permitted in the field. Weather changes can affect daily hunt times—Saldivar adjusts the schedule as needed.
