Kaery Concealed isn't your typical firearms academy. The founder spent nearly two decades pursuing advanced training under some of the most respected instructors in the industry—Massad Ayoob, Tom Givens, Clint Smith, Ken Hackathorn, John Farnam, and Force Science specialists. That foundation shows up in every course offered.

In 2005, a violent incident near her home changed everything for Kaery. A convicted felon with a GPS history that included locations near her family's neighborhood forced her to confront a hard truth: evil doesn't respect "safe" places. She decided then that she needed real skills—not just knowledge—to protect herself and her children.

The problem? At the time, the only available training came from instructors with military or law enforcement backgrounds. Their rules of engagement and mission priorities didn't match a civilian's needs. So Kaery dove into every reputable course she could find, extracted the principles relevant to family protection, and built curriculum from that real-world gap.

Today, that curriculum serves thousands of students across Washington State.

WA I-1639 Firearm Safety Training - This course exceeds Washington Initiative 1639 requirements for semi-automatic rifle purchases. It covers basic firearm safety, safe gun handling, firearms and children, suicide prevention, secure storage, state and federal laws, and permit applications. No live fire required. Certificate issued at course completion. After paying once, you get free refresher courses for life—which saves money since I-1639 requires renewal every 5 years.

Armed With Reason (Multi-State CCW Permit Course) - A 4-hour classroom course that qualifies you to apply for: - Utah multi-state permit (valid 30+ states) - Arizona multi-state permit (valid 30+ states) - Oregon CCW permit - Washington permit - Idaho permit

Course includes completed applications, fingerprint cards, 2×2 photos, proof of training certificates, and pre-addressed envelopes—all in the course fee. No hidden fees for fingerprinting or photos.

1st SHOTS Training - Hands-on course emphasizing safe gun handling, handgun fundamentals, and practical self-defense skills. Designed for concealed carry or home defense. No prior experience required.

Unarmed Defense Tools & Strategies - Goes beyond typical physical self-defense to cover de-escalation, disengagement, and situational awareness. Popular course that requires no firearms background.
