Dry Hollow Ranch

Dry Hollow Ranch established itself as a hunting and vacation destination over 25 years ago, taking advantage of what the Pomeroy area has become: the mecca of pheasant hunting in eastern Washington. Their 526-acre operation sits on private land in Garfield County, surrounded by CRP fields and managed grasslands that create ideal habitat for upland birds.

• •Upland Birds - Pheasant is the headline act here. The ranch's grasslands are actively managed for wildlife habitat, and proximity to CRP fields means consistent bird populations. You'll also find two species of quail, Hungarian partridge, and chukar.

• •Coyote Hunting - Free land access for guests. Calling these wary predators isn't for beginners, but if you're looking for a challenge with a place to clean up afterward, they'll accommodate you.

• •Deer & Elk - Hunt the nearby Blue Mountains and Dayton Unit from base camp comfort. The Tucannon River valley is minutes away; Snake River is 30 minutes out.

• •Turkey Hunting - Use the ranch as your base camp for Rio Grande flocks along the Tucannon River. Scout in the morning, hunt all day, relax afterward.
