Full description and what we offer
John Mills started Buffalo Creek Precision because factory rifles weren't cutting it for his own shooting. After formal NRA gunsmithing training in 2015, he built two hunting rifles for himself—other hunters saw what they could do and asked him to build theirs. That's how it started.
The name comes from his family's Wyoming homestead on Buffalo Creek (his grandparents settled there in the 1940s), and Mills carries that same resourcefulness his grandfather taught him: precision, detail, and making things right.
From clients: "I didn't start winning at competitions until John Mills built my rifle." "John Mills is a master craftsman."
Mills competes himself and has recent competition wins. He's worked with Gravestone Precision winners. This isn't theoretical knowledge—he practices what he builds.
