Forest of Antlers Hunt

Forest of Antlers Outfitters has operated since the mid-1990s on over 950 acres of private preserve near Minocqua, Wisconsin. The property borders two private lakes, Johnson Creek, Mitchell Lake, and the Tomahawk River—creating ideal habitat for trophy-class whitetail deer through natural water sources and rich forage.

Hunting season runs September 15 through December 31 each year, covering three distinct periods:

• •Pre-Rut (Early Fall): Bucks active with predictable patterns
• •Rut (Late October–Mid-November): Peak season with aggressive buck behavior and frequent movement
• •Post-Rut (Late Season): Cooler weather and lighter pressure favoring mature bucks

You can book 3 to 5-day hunts with your choice of:

• •Guided or unguided experiences
• •Rifle or archery
• •Ground blinds, elevated blinds, ladder stands, or climber stands

Forest of Antlers has invested decades in habitat management and selective genetics to produce record-book caliber bucks consistently. The herd is carefully managed to ensure trophy-quality whitetails year after year.

Hunters flying in arrive at Rhinelander Airport (RHI), just 15 minutes from the ranch. Forest of Antlers provides pickup and drop-off as part of the package. You can also drive yourself if preferred.

By the early 1900s, unregulated hunting nearly depleted the herds, but Wisconsin pioneered state conservation programs and regulated seasons. Today, Wisconsin is nationally recognized as one of the premier whitetail destinations in the United States.
