Clam Lake Guide & Taxidermy operates from the heart of the Chequamegon-Nicolet National Forest in Ashland County, Wisconsin. Owner Randy Sersch has spent more than three and a half decades scouting, baiting, and preparing successful hunts across Northern Wisconsin, Northern Minnesota, and Michigan's Upper Peninsula.
Randy's experience reading terrain, understanding animal behavior, and setting up for success translates directly into your hunt. He doesn't just know the land—he knows thousands of acres of remote backcountry forest and has refined his approach to every game animal the region offers.
Clam Lake specializes in the full range of Upper Midwest hunting:
All hunts are fully guided with Randy or his team. They handle tree stand setup (comfortable and safe for all-day sits), meat care, hide preparation, gutting, skinning, and butchering. You show up ready to hunt—they handle the logistics.
Military & First Responder Discounts: Active duty, honorably discharged military, law enforcement, and first responders receive discounts on all hunts and taxidermy services. Ask when you call.
Don't own hunting land? Don't know where to start on public land? Clam Lake offers hunting property consulting:
Private Land Management – Randy travels to your property in Wisconsin, Northern Minnesota, or Michigan's UP to walk the land, identify prime stand placement spots, recommend baiting locations, and advise on land management to improve bear and deer hunting success.
Public Land Consultations – For DIY hunters struggling on public land, Randy scouts the specific area you hunt, provides detailed recommendations on where to set up, and supplies key hunting items if needed.
| Service | Cost |

| Day consultation (includes travel) | $600–$800 |
| Overnight stay | $200/night |
