Full description and what we offer
Mike's Tacticals Customs specializes in two core services: Cerakote finishing and laser stippling. If you need your firearm refinished or customized, they handle the work and ship it back to you.
They offer four different Cerakote series, each designed for specific applications:
| Series | Best For | Key Feature |
|---|---|---|
| Elite Series | Internal parts, extreme durability | Oven-cure, thin coating, Teflon-like finish |
| H Series | General customization, color options | Most popular, bake-on, available in nearly any color |
| High Temp | Barrels, muzzle brakes, suppressors | Air-cure (no oven), handles extreme heat |
| Gen II NiR | Tactical/military applications | Reduced IR signature, lower reflective finish |
Elite Series offers the toughest corrosion and chemical resistance available. It's thin enough for internal parts and requires just one coat. The result is slick with low friction.
H Series is their most requested option. While slightly less tough than Elite in lab tests, it still provides serious corrosion protection and comes in virtually any color you want. Works well on everything from 1911s to dive watches. One thing to note: the 1 mil thickness can tighten tolerances on moving parts, so fit and finish may need attention.
High Temp is the paradox—it's the high-temperature coating that doesn't need baking. Air-cure means you can coat polymer stocks and components without melting them. Trade-off: slightly less corrosion resistance than other series, but perfect for barrels, muzzle brakes, and suppressors that see real heat.
Gen II NiR is designed for military and law enforcement to reduce infrared signature and visual appearance while maintaining strength and abrasion resistance.
Ship your firearm to Mike's. They'll apply the finish you choose and send it back. They provide detailed shipping instructions so you know exactly how to pack and send your gun.
Beyond custom work, they run an online firearms store at mikes-tacticals.com if you need a new gun or just want to shop.
