Skyline WMA Shooting Range is a public shooting facility managed as part of Alabama's Wildlife Management Area system, located in Scottsboro. The range provides diverse shooting opportunities for rifle enthusiasts and shotgun shooters of all skill levels.
The facility features two side-by-side rifle ranges:
Both rifle ranges are separated by a protective berm, allowing independent use without interference. Concrete walkways provide safe downrange access to target lines.
Skyline WMA Shooting Range is fully wheelchair accessible with dedicated accessible shooting stations and concrete pathways throughout the facility, ensuring shooters of all mobility levels can safely participate.
The range features professional target infrastructure including: - Paper target setup with dedicated stands - Self-healing targets for extended practice sessions - Metal auto-reset targets for convenient, efficient shooting
Located in Jackson County approximately 2 miles west of the intersection of State Highway 79 and County Road 146. As a WMA facility, use requires valid Alabama hunting, heritage, fishing, or WMA licenses for residents (ages 16-64); nonresidents require WMA or hunting licenses (age 16+).
