Limestone Hunting Preserve & Sporting Clays sits 4.3 miles south of the Alabama-Tennessee state line just off Highway 53 near Ardmore. The facility combines live hunting and clay target shooting—you can hunt in the morning and run clays in the afternoon, or vice versa.
Self-guided members must sign in, limit 4 guns per party, and no alcohol during hunts.
Daily sporting clays available. The facility also runs: - 5 Stand shooting - Skeet fields - Trap fields
Professional shooting instructors can be scheduled for lessons.
Home of the 2003 ASCA State Championship
Limestone annually hosts Greater Alabama Council Sporting Clays for Scouts events. Wayne Mitchell, who manages the preserve, is an active participant in field trials for the American Birddog Classic Field Trial Club and is a member of the National Bird Dog Association.
