Full description and what we offer
Steve started building his first gun at 12 years old and found his real calling in gunsmithing after leaving the Marines in 1995. For the last 16 years, he's earned certifications from the State of Alaska as an instructor in Hunter Education, Muzzle Loading, and Bow Hunting. He's also certified to teach Rifle, Pistol, and Shotgun classes, plus holds certifications in Metallic Cartridge reloading. His reputation in the Anchorage community is stellar—his services stay in high demand.
Steve, Master Gunsmith & Owner has been an essential part of Alaska's professional gunsmithing community and is a lifetime NRA member. Outside the shop, he hunts, fishes, occasionally guides, and works on sport vehicles.
Kyle, Gunsmithing Apprentice grew up around guns with Steve and completed his first full rifle build this year—a Winchester Model 70 converted from .222 to .300 Win Mag with barrel band front sight and nitride finish. Kyle excels at refinishing, polishing, cleanings, safety checks, and solving problem firearms.
"We pride ourselves in our no frills, no gimmicks, and down to earth service. If we can't help you, we will direct you to someone who can!"
