Full description and what we offer
Alaskan Tactical started out planning to 3D-print mounts from polycarbonate plastic. They pivoted to billet aluminum after discovering plastic mounts fail fast and offer no real security.
Here's what they found wrong with plastic mounts:
Their aluminum mounts eliminate these problems.
Magazine-Based Design
Each mount is dimensioned to match standard magazine profiles (Magpul, Hexmag, etc.). If your rifle feeds those magazines, it fits the mount. The locking mechanism mirrors your magazine catch—push-to-release, secure hold, any orientation.
Built-In Security
Integrated inner chamber accepts standard firearm cable locks. Lock runs through the firearm and the mount, securing your rifle to the wall. Uses a combination lock to avoid lost keys.
Fast Access When You Need It
With BCG locked back and loaded magazine in the mount's holder: load magazine, release bolt, round chambered in ~3 seconds.
Mounts are designed with safety first—the BCG must be locked back before the mount will fully seat. This prevents negligent discharge.
AR-15 Mounts - Mil-spec magazine profile compatibility - Fits standard and ambidextrous rifles - Works pointed either direction - Known fitment issues: Springfield Saint, Diamondback DB15 - Money-back guarantee if it doesn't fit
AR-10 Mounts - No universal mil-spec standard for AR-10s (unlike AR-15) - More tolerance/play built in for manufacturer variations - Compatible with most AR-10 pattern rifles - Check product description or message before ordering - Return option if incompatible
Tall Mount - Fits standard Glocks (9mm, .40, .45) - Larger calibers like Glock 20 (10mm) have oversized magazines—will fit but with play - Magazine holder designed for Glock factory magazines (skinny butt-plate) - No cable lock option (not enough internal room)
Short Mount - For firearms using partial Glock magazine length - Compatible with AR-9, AK-9, KRISS Vector, Kel-Tec platforms - Includes cable lock option
Customers have mounted these in vehicles (pickup beds, SUVs), tractors, and other non-standard locations. Alaskan Tactical assumes no liability for elements exposure or vibration damage in those applications. Use at your own risk outside wall mounting.
Example: A farmer mounted rifles to their tractor to address coyote issues.
Orders ship within 1-3 days from Alaska.
Shipping Method Matters: - Priority (Recommended): Consistent delivery - Economy (Ground Advantage): Can take 3+ weeks, USPS tracking often delays scanning
"Please remember that we are shipping all orders from the last frontier (Alaska). When selecting economy shipping please be aware that estimated ship times can vary greatly and are out of our control once passed to USPS."
Missing package? Contact them—they can file a missing package request with USPS.
No substitute for teaching gun safety at home. Cable lock adds response time—consider your situation. If you need faster access than 3 seconds with a loaded rifle, the recommendation is straightforward: live in a safer neighborhood.
BCG must be in locked-back position before mounting to prevent accidental discharge. Some aftermarket lower components might allow mounting without locking the BCG back—Alaskan Tactical strongly discourages this.
