Full description and what we offer
Jonah's Alaskan Outfitters specializes in fully guided hunts for Dall sheep, brown bear, grizzly bear, moose, caribou, and black bear throughout Alaska. The operation is built on fair chase principles and a deep commitment to bowhunter success—something Jonah Stewart and his guides live personally.
Jonah Stewart moved to Alaska at age 6 and knew by childhood he wanted to be an outfitter and bush pilot. He obtained his Registered Guide/Outfitter license in 2009 and his Pilot's license in 2010, launching Jonah's Alaskan Outfitters that same year. Over the last 14 years, the operation has guided hundreds of successful hunters to trophy animals.
Jonah has personally harvested 24 of 29 North American big game species with a bow and holds over 80 official Pope & Young entries. He achieved Archery Grand Slam #88 with 13 North American sheep. His wife Skylar manages the lodge, handles homeschooling, and has become a serious hunter herself—adding wild boar, black bear, brown bear, moose, mountain goat, antelope, and multiple deer species to her record. Their three children have grown up hunting in camp and already hold multiple youth awards.

All of our guides are accomplished bowhunters and are committed to your success.
The outfitter operates within the Dalton Highway Control Use Area—the world's largest designated bowhunting-only area. Bowhunters can hunt grizzly from the Wiseman lodge rather than being flown into remote camps. The brown bear baited hunts cater specifically to bowhunters with ground blinds, tree stands, and scent control equipment positioned 15-25 yards from bait sites.
