Full description and what we offer

Golden North Archery Association started as Golden North Bowhunters in 1961 with 45 members and has grown to over 100 archers. Today they operate the only indoor and outdoor archery ranges in Fairbanks—both member-maintained and community-focused.

  • Outdoor Range (Chena Hot Springs Road): Two 14-target field ranges (20 feet to 80 yards) plus a 40-lane 3-D course. Open year-round during daylight hours.
  • Indoor Range (October–April): Full facility for winter shooting.
  • Youth Education: S3DA-sponsored archery instruction for ages up to 17.
  • Leagues & Tournaments: 3-D league, field championships, specialty shoots (Snowshoe, Midnight Sun, Bowhunter Jamboree, holiday events).

GNAA operates entirely on member participation—no employees. Members volunteer for event management and range maintenance. They offer various membership options including lifetime memberships, with separate fees for range use, tournaments, and leagues.

Family-oriented club. Children are included and encouraged at all events, receiving the same awards as adults.

All events and range work are volunteer-driven, making this a genuine community resource for archers at every level.
