Full description and what we offer
Tyrrell's Trails is a locally owned Alaska hunting outfitter run by hardwoods Alaskans with decades in the guiding industry and bush flying. Owner Luke Tyrrell was born into subsistence hunting in rural Alaska and built this operation on that foundation—knowledge of remote country, understanding game behavior, and the logistics to get serious hunters into country with little to no hunting pressure.
Every hunt is customized to your preferences. They offer:
Hunt types include float hunts, fixed spike camps, and backpack hunts. All spike camp accommodations feature quality tents, cots, rafts, and equipment.
Our location is well north of the Arctic Circle deep within the remote Alaska Brooks Range. We offer high quality, fair chase sporting opportunities for a limited number of hunters each year.
Key differentiators: - Company-owned light aircraft for exclusive access—no waiting on charter planes - Very remote area with minimal resident hunting pressure - Limited clients per season to protect hunt quality - Consistently high success rates and client satisfaction - One-on-one guide ratio (not group hunts)
Luke Tyrrell and his team (including guide Wesley Tyrrell) have real Alaska experience. Client reviews consistently highlight flawless logistics, knowledgeable guides who can spot and call in trophy game "out of thin air," and an operation that goes the extra mile. Repeat clients book years in advance.
