Arizona Firearms Instructors LLC focuses on training qualified firearms instructors who become positive influencers in their communities. Their mission centers on preparing instructors not just to teach, but to make a real difference in how security guards and armed professionals perform in the field.

To teach security guard and armed guard courses in Arizona, the Arizona Department of Public Safety requires two specific certifications:

• •NRA Pistol Instructor Cert
• •NRA PPITH (Pistol Proficiency Instructor Training for Handguns) Cert

The academy trains individuals to earn both certifications and become NRA Training Counselors—a credential many pursue but few successfully obtain.

Just like training your body at the gym, regular range time prepares you to defend yourself and others.

Skills and Drills runs every Wednesday from 7am to 9am for $50 per session. The program alternates between carbine and pistol training:

• •2nd & 4th Wednesdays: Pistol training

This program builds relationships among committed, skilled shooters and provides ongoing professional development.

Beyond instructor certification, the academy trains individuals to teach Arizona's security guard curriculum. Those completing the instructor certifications can legally sign off guard card candidates and prepare armed guards for real-world field scenarios and different circumstances they'll face.
