Steel Rain Airsoft operates as a competitive MilSim (Military Simulation) airsoft team based in the Phoenix/Scottsdale area. Since establishing the team in 2012, they've grown into one of Arizona's recognized organizers of large-scale tactical airsoft events.

Steel Rain hosts multi-day MilSim operations featuring:

• •Overnight scenario events - 24+ hour continuous gameplay with faction-based missions
• •Complex objectives - Base defense, intel gathering, supply crate management, communication tower destruction
• •Team vs. team competition - Organized faction matchups with clearly defined missions and win conditions
• •Large field operations - Events at locations like Larson Canyon (Coconino County) and Four Peaks

The core team consists of 13+ operators ranging from ages 15-20, each with designated callsigns and primary weapons:

Operation: First Strike (May 23-24, 2015) Two-day overnight MilSim at Larson Canyon featuring UFR (United Federal Republic) forces attempting to infiltrate and destroy an ARC (American Resistance Coalition) communication station. Teams camped in the field, conducted night operations, and executed coordinated multi-objective missions over 24+ hours.

DDMS Operation Trident Series Steel Rain actively participated in the Dell Devils Military Simulation's Operation Trident multi-phase event series, including Phase 2, Phase 3, and the culmination event (November 8-9, 2014). The Trident Culmination featured: - Total immersion gameplay (game starts on vehicle arrival) - 24-hour continuous operation with night missions - Medic system with limited revives per hour - Land mine clearing objectives with 30-foot perimeter rules - Supply crate scavenging and inter-faction raids - Semi-auto and burst fire limitations (420 FPS AEGs, 550 FPS snipers)

Memorial Game for Ron Bilodeau (November 15, 2014) Annual day game at Four Peaks with game props, mission objectives, and raffle prizes including custom rifles.

Steel Rain events typically enforce:

• •Fire modes: Semi-auto or 3-5 round burst (exceptions for LMGs)
• •Medic system: 1 medic per 10 players with limited revives
• •Hit rules: Any body hit counts (even ears and toes); hits on equipment that would've struck the body count

Steel Rain welcomes individuals and teams to join their events or arrange custom team-vs-team matchups. Events require participants to bring own camping gear (tents, sleeping bags), food, and equipment. The team actively recruits for their ongoing MilSim story arc, which launched in 2015 with planned continuation through multiple future operations.
