Full description and what we offer
Daniel Casey runs Casey Arms as a full-time blacksmithing operation in Romance, Arkansas. Every rifle, knife, tomahawk, and blade leaves his forge as a custom-built piece made to order—no mass production, no shortcuts.
Casey built his first forge at age 12 using an old Chevy brake drum. He trained under Rex Harral, a self-sufficient craftsman who taught him everything from basic mountain crafts to forge welding and traditional blade smithing. At 15, he was offered the opportunity to learn from Master Gunsmith Hershel House, who gave him foundational skills in building traditional rifles and blade work.
This wasn't a quick path to profit. As a teenager and young adult, Casey worked concrete, framing, roofing, welding, CNC machining, and other trades while building pieces after hours. But he never stopped forging.
In 2013, an article in the Arkansas Democrat-Gazette about Casey's work caught the attention of History Channel producers. This led to the show "Iron and Fire," which aired in 2015. Casey also competed on History Channel's "Forged in Fire" Season 5.
Casey takes custom orders through his website and YouTube channel (started March 2022). An online shop launched in July 2022 offers branded apparel, accessories, and handmade items including knives and leatherwork. Classes and gunsmithing consultations are also available by request.
Every piece is hand-made by Daniel Casey himself. Lead times vary based on order volume and project complexity—contact directly for quotes.
