Full description and what we offer

SMC Williams Guide Service combines decades of field expertise with a family-driven approach to guided hunts. Sam McGuire started guiding in high school and has worked across California and Wyoming. Colby Williams was born into the hunting lifestyle—his father was one of California's first licensed guides—and has been in the field since age 10. Together, they deliver fully guided hunts where one of the owners participates in every single outing.

  • Pricing: $1,500 single hunter | $1,250 per person (parties of 2+)

Wild hog hunting is their specialty. Hunts run day and a half on free-range private ranches across Monterey, San Benito, San Luis Obispo, Fresno, Merced, and Tulare counties. They hold a near 100% opportunity rate and are known for consistently harvesting trophy-class hogs exceeding 200 pounds. Average meat hogs run 120-170 pounds. No trophy fees—if you pass on an animal, a $500 extension fee extends your hunt.

"We measure success by opportunity. We hold nearly 100% opportunity rate on hogs, but don't guarantee outcomes since animals are wild and out of our direct control."

  • Pricing: $1,500 single hunter | $1,250 per person (parties of 2+)
