City Arms operates licensed firearms dealerships in Pacifica and Pleasant Hill, handling all California-regulated firearms purchases and transfers. Both shops are staffed to guide you through state requirements that can feel like a maze.

All firearms sales in California—including private party transfers—must go through a licensed dealer's DROS (Dealer's Record of Sale) process. That means a 10-day waiting period before you take anything home, and specific documentation requirements depending on what you're buying.

Handgun purchases require: - Proof of California residency (utility bill, lease, deed, or government ID) - Either a Handgun Safety Certificate (HSC) plus successful safety demonstration with your new gun, or an HSC exemption - Valid non-expired CA Driver's License or ID Card, or military ID with duty station orders

• •Long guns have less restrictive age requirements—18+ with a valid hunting license, active military ID, or proof of honorably discharged veteran status all qualify.

Non-U.S. citizens must provide documentation of legal residency (Alien Registration Number or I-94 Number).

Note: Most Glock models are off the roster (CA's approved handgun list) except G17, G19, and G26. Check their "New Arrivals" pages for current stock in each location.
