Full description and what we offer

Diamond Defense operates a judgment-free training studio focused on empowering women and vulnerable communities through practical self-defense skills. Located at their newly opened Midtown Sacramento studio (1422 28th St., Suite B), they combine prevention strategies, risk awareness, and physical defense techniques in an accessible environment.

Their approach is holistic—not just physical techniques, but mental and emotional awareness. Classes are rooted in R.A.D. and Hapkido, focusing on practical skills that work across different situations. They teach:

  • Prevention and risk awareness strategies
  • Physical defense techniques for abductive attempts
  • Practical moves easy to learn, remember, and adapt
  • Mental confidence and situational awareness

Classes are designed for all bodies, abilities, and ages 12+. Whether you're a beginner, have mobility limitations, or different fitness levels—they help you discover which options work best for you.

Diamond Defense also hosts the Diamond Defense Podcast, co-hosted by Lisa Thew and Kellie Yvonne Raines. The show covers women's safety, self-defense strategies, and features guest storytellers sharing real experiences and lessons.

Authorized SABRE dealer — they stock personal safety tools including their featured LED Runner's Pepper Gel.

"In a world where violence is too often normalized and women are disproportionately targeted, finding a secure, judgment-free environment for this work is vital."

Diamond Defense believes self-defense training creates empowerment through community. Students report increased confidence, awareness, and tangible skills they can apply immediately.
