Farwest FFL Service

Farwest handles firearm transfers and ammunition transfers for shooters in the Bay Area. Located in Santa Clara, they operate by appointment only—text or WhatsApp to schedule.

• •Firearm transfers: $75 for the first gun, $40 for each additional. DROS fees ($37.19) and California sales tax (9.125%) apply. They'll handle the 30-day window and can reship items to other FFLs if needed.

• •Ammunition transfers: $20 flat rate for up to 1,000 rounds, plus applicable taxes (including California's 11% excise tax as of July 2024).

• •Shipping services: $40 per firearm plus actual shipping costs via USPS, UPS, or FedEx.

They store transferred firearms for up to 120 days. Beyond 30 days requires a re-DROS ($40 plus DROS fee). Extended storage runs $5/day unless arranged otherwise.
