Grover Group Training operates as one of Northern California's most established firearms instruction providers, trusted by 30+ sheriff's offices and police departments across the region. Their instructors hold credentials from the California Department of Justice, NRA, USCCA, and California POST (Peace Officer Standards and Training).
Initial CCW Training (16 hours) covers California law, safety, judgment, and live-fire qualification. Students can train virtually (Monday evenings, 5–9 PM PT) for the lecture portion, then complete in-person range qualification on scheduled dates in January, February, and March.
Renewal Courses (8 hours) maintain your permit and cost $300. Requalification for permit modifications runs $100.

Approved for 30+ agencies including Alameda, Contra Costa, Monterey, Sacramento, Santa Clara, Santa Cruz sheriff's offices and major police departments like San Jose, Fremont, Oakland, and Livermore.
Beyond CCW, Grover Group runs 2.5-hour precision clinics (5–20 participants) covering:
Clinics start at $450 per participant (range fees included). Range bay fees vary $65–$100 depending on facility. Corporate team-building and first responder pricing available.

Unsure about your next purchase? Test three handguns or long guns under direct instructor supervision. Two-hour sessions include range time and personalized guidance. Available models include Glock G17, HK VP9, Sig P320/P226, Springfield Hellcat Pro, Colt Python, Benelli M4 shotgun, 556 rifles, and more.
Grover Group operates as a licensed FFL01 dealer. All firearms transfers follow California's Dealer Record of Sale (DROS) process. Appointments are required.
Submission Process (~15–20 minutes): 1. Bring current driver's license and proof of residency 2. Dealer copies documentation 3. Complete Form 4473 4. DROS entry and signature 5. 10-day waiting period begins
Pickup Process (~5–10 minutes): 1. Safe handling demonstration 2. Approved Firearms Safety Device or Gun Safe Affidavit 3. Take possession
Handgun purchases require California residency proof (utility bill, lease, property deed). Permanent residents must bring valid Green or Gold Card. FEDERAL LIMITS APPLY on driver's license? Bring proof of citizenship.
They provide white-glove service for downsizing, transferring, or liquidating private collections and estate firearms. Services include:
Estimate 5–10 minutes per firearm. Executors should bring probate documents, death certificate, and legal identification.
Accepts Cash, Zelle, Credit Card, and Apple Pay. 50% deposit required to secure your seat; remaining balance due by class day. Reschedules allowed up to 24 hours prior (one free reschedule; additional reschedules may incur fees).
