Full description and what we offer

King Ranch Hunting operates on the legendary King Ranch property in South Texas, offering guided hunts across one of the largest private ranches in the United States. The operation conducts all hunts in a free-range, low-fence, fair-chase environment designed for both experienced and first-time hunters.

Hunters can book day hunts or multi-day package hunts with lodging. Day hunts require your own accommodations in nearby Kingsville, TX. Package hunts include two nights of lodging at King Ranch and full kitchen facilities (meals available for additional fee).

  • Rifle and Archery Options: Both weapon types are offered across most hunt types. Archery hunts are conducted on over 35,000 acres managed specifically for bow hunting.
  • Nilgai Hunts - King Ranch acquired nilgai brood stock from the San Diego Zoological Garden in the late 1920s. Today there are over 18,000 nilgai on the Norias division. These animals challenge hunters with exceptional eyesight, hearing, and sense of smell. Bulls reach 600 lbs, cows 300 lbs. Methods include still hunting, stalking, and safari-style approaches.

Hunts take place in live oak mottes, mixed brush environments, and extensive coastal prairies. The property is managed under a density-based, sustainable harvest model with firmly established and enforced quotas. Professional guides provide expertise in King Ranch history, wildlife management, game strategies, and habitat management that balances livestock and native flora and fauna.

Submit hunt interest through their Book A Hunt tab or call (361) 221-0350. Your assigned guide will call one week before your hunt to confirm details. Full payment required before scheduling package hunts. Day hunts require a deposit to book.

"The likelihood of seeing an appropriate buck to harvest in the assigned pasture(s) are very high" due to limited bookings per pasture and tightly controlled access.
