Luna's Security Training Academy started with a mission: provide the best training value while serving the community. What began as Luna's passion for security services and teaching has grown into a BSIS-certified training facility serving greater Los Angeles and Orange County.

Luna's focuses on hands-on, practical instruction for security professionals, guards, first responders, and permit holders. Whether you're entering the field or upgrading existing certifications, they offer:

California requires 40 total hours for guard card certification. Luna's breaks this into manageable segments:

• •8-hour Power to Arrest Class ($125) - Initial requirement
• •16-hour Continuous Education ($150) - Required within 30 days of card issuance
• •16-hour Elective Courses ($150) - Complete within 6 months
• •Complete Guard Card Package - $295 (includes Power to Arrest + Live Scan)
• •Guard Card + Initial Firearms - $735 (includes all standards, targets, ear and eye protection)

BSIS typically processes new applications in 30-60 days, though clean backgrounds can move through in as few as 3-5 days.

All firearms courses include standard fees, firing range time, targets, and protective equipment.

Luna actively focuses on empowering women and underrepresented communities to enter the security field. Their approach emphasizes real skills over checkboxes—students leave with practical knowledge for day-one readiness.

Classes are available both ways. They also provide: - Live Scan fingerprinting services with digital transmission to DOJ and FBI - Application assistance for BSIS Guard Card applications (includes submission service for an additional fee) - Spanish-language instruction (Se Habla Español) - Corporate and organizational training with customized programs for private security companies and teams
