Public Safety Institute specializes in turning qualified shooters into certified NRA pistol instructors. Led by an NRA Training Counselor with 25+ years in criminal justice, former Marine infantry, and real street-level police experience, this operation knows what serious firearms instruction requires.

Payment plans available starting at $14-30/month.
Day 1: Basic Instructor Training (BIT) — Friday, 7:30am-2:30pm Covers organizing and conducting NRA courses, training team dynamics, materials, and teaching prep. Required if not completed in the past 2 years.
Day 2: NRA Basic Pistol Course — Saturday, 7:30am-5:00pm Pistol knowledge, safe handling, ammunition fundamentals, shooting positions, qualifications, and maintenance.
Day 3: NRA Pistol Instructor Training — Sunday, 7:30am-6:00pm Technique for teaching all pistol topics, conducting student evaluations, administering exams. Covers revolvers and semi-autos in depth.
You don't need to own a pistol. Firearms are provided in the classroom, and you can rent one at the range for your qualification.

Must not have felony convictions, domestic violence convictions, current restraining orders, or firearm purchase prohibitions. U.S. resident or green card holder minimum.
No refunds once enrolled, but you can reschedule or transfer your course to another person if needed.
